Step 1 – display Assembly
-Insert a metal spudger between the top edge of the display Assembly and the Assembly of the rear panel.
Spudger-rotation away from you to release the tabs along the top edge of the display.-Insert a second metal spudger between the top edge of the display Assembly and the Assembly back panel to keep the tabs to break back in place.
Step 2
With a spudger, work your way along the right edge of the iPad, releasing the tabs as you go.
Phase 3
-Lift the display Assembly away from the rear panel assemblies for the bottom edge.
-Do not try to remove the view at this time, as it is connected to the rear panel.
Step 4
In the following steps, you disconnect the 3 cables attaching the display Assembly to the logic board. The cables are for the following components:
-Digitizer
-Ambient light sensor
-Cable data view
Step 9 – iPad Metal Display clip
-During the process of removing display Assembly, it is highly likely that the metal clips around the perimeter of the display Assembly will break.
-To replace a broken clip, before removing the Torx screws T5 basic protection for the screen clips broken.
-Insert a new clip on positioning pins shaped into a viewport and reinstall the T5 Torx screw to secure the two pieces together.
-Repeat this process for all the other clips routes around the display assembly.
