Step 1 — Display Assembly
Insert a metal spudger between the top edge of the display Assembly and the Assembly of the rear panel. Rotate the spudger away from you to release the tabs along the top edge of the display. Insert a second metal spudger between the top edge of the display Assembly and the Assembly back panel to keep the tabs to break back in place.
Step 2
With a spudger, work your way along the right edge of the iPad, releasing the tabs as you go.
Phase 3
Lift the display Assembly away from the rear panel assemblies for the bottom edge. Do not attempt to remove the display right now, because it is connected to the rear panel.
Step 4
In the following steps, you disconnect the 3 cables attaching the display Assembly to the logic board. The cables are for the following components:
-Digitizer
-Ambient light sensor
-Cable data view
Step 5
Use the edge of a plastic opening tool to flip up the flaps holding the strips to digitizer their hooves the logic board. Make sure you are throwing up the flap, not the socket itself. Pull ribbon cables from their sockets the digitizer.
